Dear Friends, Family, Neighbors, and Those of You I Don’t Yet Know —
After a long weekend spent on an immersive retreat for the Applied Compassion class, I have dragged my tired backside onto a plane and flown to my sister’s farm in Washington state for a little R&R. Thanks to the pandemic, we haven’t seen each other in a year-and-a-half. It’s wonderful to be out here where time passes at a different pace, visiting with someone I’ve been longing to see. Looking forward to a few lazy days of savoring life. I hope you have some days like these in your near future, too.
I’ll be back with a regular issue of “Odd Company” next week. Till then, here’s a picture my brother-in-law took of the field, currently planted in Brussels sprouts.

Rest, recovery amidst rows of big fat b. sprouts… sounds like the “tired backside” is gonna be fine.
